Are you ready to feel better, emotionally, mentally and/or physically? These elements of our being are interdependent, and individuals today are exploring complementary paths to wellness in increasing numbers.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist with additional training in integrative health, I look at wellness from every angle combining traditional mental health diagnosis and treatment interventions with emerging, evidence-based integrative support for a holistic approach to mental, emotional and somatic health. For some clients spirituality is as well part of the holistic picture which can as well be considered.
Mind-body approaches are varied and flexible, offering benefits that simply range from supporting a healthy lifestyle to providing an influential boost toward healing as an adjunct to conventional treatment approaches.
I work with each client to set goals of treatment while identifying interventions that are comfortable and meaningful to the individual. Therapeutic interventions offered depend upon the client's needs and interests, and include traditional psychotherapy, Brief/Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), expressive-arts interventions, spiritual support, and evidence-based mindfulness techniques such as relaxation and guided visualization especially helpful with conditions related to stress and pain.
